Seat adjustment on racing canoes is used to change trim for wind/current
conditions. A common stock method for factory boats uses a pin that goes
into small holes in one of the slide rail tubes. This is a slow and
difficult adjustment when underway.

i modified my almost racing canoe by attaching a cam cleat on the lateral
support bar at the front of the seat. now with a simple rope adjustment,
the trim is where i want it ...easily and quickly.
