Recently there was a discussion about restoring the DWR finish on Goretex garments so as to maintain water repellency. The makers of Goretex have come out with a new product for this purpose--Gore ReviveX--which is supposedly three times more durable than any of the the alternatives. If this proves to be true it is very good news, since the DWR finish is the "achilles heel" of all waterproof-breathable fabrics. As one might expect, it is very pricey. But if it works as claimed it would be worth it. Check it out at the REI Web site: http://www.rei.com/shopping/store3/CAMPING/FIRST_AID/PERSONAL_CARE/bud/627815.html I'm going to give it a try. I'll let you know how it goes.
