Concerned that my beautiful plastic emerald Sealution II was going to
fade in the sun when stored in its outside rack, I searched the web
for makers of canoe and kayak covers. I wound up ordering one from a
canoe cover maker, R&R Canvas, which did a terrific job for around
$100.

The purpose of my cover was to protect the hull from UV fading and
deterioration and to keep this dark-colored boat from baking in the
sun. R&R wound up using a really heavy polyester in light tan (to
keep the boat cool). I provided detailed dimensions of the yak and
they produced a custom cover with a draw string that pulls tight like
a shower cap, with extra nylon loops for additional security.

R&R Canvas is in Waverly NY at 607-565-8763. Ask for Les.
