Currently I paddle a plastic Capella by P&H. I think this is one of the best plastic boats around, with good speed, strong secondary stability, anf comfortable outfitting for my 6'2" 200lb frame. It's tracking is light, which appeals to my whitewater paddler's side, because I just can't trust a boat with stiff tracking. It has only moderate storage capacity, but it does have room for one mission critical item -- an 8" djembe. I LIKE paddling a plastic boat because of the freedom to bash into rocks with impunity. My favorite boat of all time however is my Pyranha Razor (8'8", 60 gal). This boat surfs like a champion. -- Kevin /--------------------------------------------\ /---------------------------\ |Something there is that doesn't love a wall | Kevin Whilden | |That sends the frozen-ground-swell under it | kwhilden_at_u.washington.edu | |And spills the upper boulders in the sun | Dept. of Geologic Science | |And makes gaps that even two can pass abreast| University of Washington | | -- Robert Frost |(206)543-1975(w) 632-5140(h)| \--------------------------------------------/ \---------------------------/ *************************************************************************** PaddleWise Paddling Mailing List Submissions: paddlewise_at_lists.intelenet.net Subscriptions: paddlewise-request_at_lists.intelenet.net ***************************************************************************Received on Mon Feb 16 1998 - 10:28:54 PST
