Ralph and other Netcom users: you may also be experiencing problems
because Netcom has refused to deal effectively with the spam emanating
from their systems and as a consequence, site managers at other
Internet locations have been implementing an increasing number of
blocks (mail, news, web) to try to prevent their systems from being
abused by traffic emanating from Netcom.

In fact, Netcom is scheduled to be UDP'd this Friday unless a massive
turnaround occurs (announcement enclosed below).   You may wish to
begin looking for another ISP if that happens, or if it is
escalated to an IDP.
