Takes half a sec to load'em in, and makes the sack easier to wiggle into the right spot for floatation. > canoe, before any of us got there. he stood in the sun and dried off some, > then elected to paddle a mile or two to warm up. once warm, we stopped, > and he changed into dry clothes, and we had a good time. Another idea that I've used winter backpacking is to select all your clothing of the variety that you can strip off, squeeze dry, and put back on. Polartec, polypro undies, and goretex shells do this trick quite well. I know, because I took a swim (while backpacking) in January in the North Fork Gila River. I've never felt colder water in my life. *************************************************************************** PaddleWise Paddling Mailing List Submissions: paddlewise_at_lists.intelenet.net Subscriptions: paddlewise-request_at_lists.intelenet.net ***************************************************************************Received on Sun Feb 22 1998 - 11:35:04 PST
