        REI and most marine supply/outdoor stores sell the Aquapac case.
It's about $25, and you can use the GPS while it's sealed in the case.   The
case makes the unit float, has a lanyard . . . and it's waterproof --as   in
100's of meters for days and days. . .

        I keep my radio in one case and I kept my GPS in a second. I   swear
by them, and so do most kayakers I've seen that use them.

I looked at the Aquapac, but I would prefer something less bulky that
I can put in a (large) pocket. FWIW, I looked at the Magellan Web
site at http://www.magellangps.com/magellan/default.html, and they
claim that their new Tracker has water sealed battery tubes as well
as a higher resolution screen than the Garmins.
