[Paddlewise] foil and radar

A ball of foil is not a sphere! The metal surface is a mass of small, 
irregular creases. I doubt it's very good compared to a well designed 
radar reflector, but it has to better than a smooth sphere.

I thought of building a wooden sailboat mast filled with wadded foil,
but never did, so I can't report on a result.
