[Paddlewise] Knives

I'll weigh in with my choice, which is also the River Shorty.  I wear it
on my PFD on the shoulder lash-tab it is so unobtrusive and smallish
that I think it lends little to a macho image, if that's a factor for
anyone.
The good parts are all summed up in George B's post.  If you are going
to carry but one cutting tool, I think is probably a pretty sound
choice.  I do, however, carry a Swiss Army Knife with a large number of
tools (more than anyone needs) but it keep tucked in my camping gear as
it is useless as an immediate fix in any emergency (takes nearly two
minutes to find the right tool to use).
