Took a little trip up north last night and met Ken Rasmussen F2F, He and his friend are wonderful people! I left with four blocks of foam, a couple of sheets of the stuff, a back band, some glue, and some neat stories... Heck, I might have to give this "paddle club" stuff a try...??? In any case, I'll be adding a page or two devoted exclusively to kayak fitting, with a strong emphasis on Kens' work. He was nice enough to provide me with a longer article [I think made for the club newsletter?] that goes into more detail than the SK article did he said. As for me? Right now, I've decided that I'll keep the Pursuits' seat pan, dispense with the too tall OEM backrest/replace with the new back band, cover my fiberglass knee braces, make a foam seat extension [I have long legs] and put in some made-for-me hip pads. With these adjustments I should be able to find a way to put lengths of 3/4" pvc filled with lead, to see what my boat might paddle like if I were to gain 40 more pounds... Way k00l.... -Oh yea, NO.1 priority is getting the yak in order before Saturday... "Supposed" to be nice... ;-) Tom... Tom Weese Kirkland, Wa.
