I tried Ginger root tablets last summer.  I've gotten sea sick twice.  The 
second time I got sea sick was when I was trying the ginger root 
tablets.  They may work for some people, they did nothing for me.  I can 
wholeheartedly say that offshore in a VCP Nordkapp is a not a good place 
to be sea sick.

Somewhere I saw a chart of the efficiencies of different drugs (including 
ginger root) for combatting motion sickness.  Ginger had a negligible effect.  
Unfortunately I don't remember where I saw the chart.
