As a kayaker (who paddles C-2 and dabbles in C-1) I am frequently
reminded by C-1 paddlers, "That's easy with *two* blades."

As a decked boater (see above) I am frequently reminded by open
boaters that "Real men don't wear skirts."

I therefore have no fingers left to point with...but if I did, I'd point
them at a certain US National and Olympic team member who showed up
at Wausau with decoratively painted toenails -- apparently the result
of spending many, many hours in a van with certain up-and-coming junior
racers who might possibly have spent a little too much time with their
heads inside their boats working on them, if you know what I mean and
I think you do.
