>Besides, with the exception >of those weirdos who paddle sit-on-tops, I presume most of us wear tight >rubber skirts, so are we really in any position to point fingers? As a kayaker (who paddles C-2 and dabbles in C-1) I am frequently reminded by C-1 paddlers, "That's easy with *two* blades." As a decked boater (see above) I am frequently reminded by open boaters that "Real men don't wear skirts." I therefore have no fingers left to point with...but if I did, I'd point them at a certain US National and Olympic team member who showed up at Wausau with decoratively painted toenails -- apparently the result of spending many, many hours in a van with certain up-and-coming junior racers who might possibly have spent a little too much time with their heads inside their boats working on them, if you know what I mean and I think you do. ---Rsk *************************************************************************** PaddleWise Paddling Mailing List Submissions: paddlewise_at_lists.intelenet.net Subscriptions: paddlewise-request_at_lists.intelenet.net Website: http://www.gasp-seakayak.net/paddlewise/ ***************************************************************************Received on Mon Apr 13 1998 - 19:45:10 PDT
