My Perception kayak came with a 21-page manual. It contained absolutely 
nothing about the particular kayak I bought (a Jocassee) or it's 
peculiarities, but it did contain safety tips, instructions on care of 
plastic hulls, a primer on paddles, a checklist for equipment to carry, 
and a list of books for more information on kayaking.
