A while back, on WaveLength, somebody from eastern Canada started paddling
around the U.S., starting in Washington.  He was occasionally sending e-mail
to WaveLength.  Does anyone know how he's doing?

That would be Max.  He began his journey on July 4, 1997 in Vancouver.
He is now in Southern California.  You can check out his progress on
his website at http://www.solomax.com or send him email at max_at_solomax.com.
He has included a lot of photos and a journal.
