The Makah tribe will begin hunting whales this October. Efforts are being taken by many groups to oppose the hunt, but the final chapter will be played out in the waters off Neah Bay. This is an open call for any remaining, available persons who are interested in actively participating in hunt prevention. I want to hear from anyone capable of land, air or marine participation. Sea Shepherd's Whale Guardian Network members are preparing for a large October presence at Neah Bay. I am scheduling a meeting in early September to provide interested parties with topographic and coastal maps and schematics, hunt locations, access points and access restriction/close-out information. There will also be crucial information available regarding locations and contacts in Sekiu, Neah and Clallam Bay which may assist or impede efforts by activists to approach the hunt. Please respond to me individually by email. In order for us to be successful in preventing the death of gray whales this year, coordination is crucial. * Foreign advocates who wish to have ongoing reports of hunt activities, please contact me beforehand.* Michael Kundu, Northwest Coordinator Sea Shepherd Conservation Society/Whale Guardians Network ProjectSeaWolf_at_seanet.com *************************************************************************** PaddleWise Paddling Mailing List Submissions: paddlewise_at_lists.intelenet.net Subscriptions: paddlewise-request_at_lists.intelenet.net Website: http://www.gasp-seakayak.net/paddlewise/ ***************************************************************************
