Hello: My wife was on a whale watch trip last September, and was given ginger snap cookies, by the crew, to combat seasickness. People who said they usually experienced seasickness did not. My wife didn't get seasick either - although she never does anyway. She just wanted the cookies. This may be easier than brewing tea on your kayak :-) Ed *************************************************************************** PaddleWise Paddling Mailing List Submissions: paddlewise_at_lists.intelenet.net Subscriptions: paddlewise-request_at_lists.intelenet.net Website: http://www.gasp-seakayak.net/paddlewise/ ***************************************************************************

I tried Ginger root tablets last summer. I've gotten sea sick twice. The second time I got sea sick was when I was trying the ginger root tablets. They may work for some people, they did nothing for me. I can wholeheartedly say that offshore in a VCP Nordkapp is a not a good place to be sea sick. Somewhere I saw a chart of the efficiencies of different drugs (including ginger root) for combatting motion sickness. Ginger had a negligible effect. Unfortunately I don't remember where I saw the chart. kirk *************************************************************************** PaddleWise Paddling Mailing List Submissions: paddlewise_at_lists.intelenet.net Subscriptions: paddlewise-request_at_lists.intelenet.net Website: http://www.gasp-seakayak.net/paddlewise/ ***************************************************************************
