Bill, being a lazy sort, I have found it handy, inexpensive and generally serviceable to place my kayak on a beach recliner for hosing off, coating with 303, light work, etc. This is the type of folding recliner with an adjustable-tilt chairback and a leg-length forward section. I use the type with a thick, synthetic-covered pad and put the back in the fully or near-fully down position. It meets most of your criteria and is multi-purpose, being alternatively useful to support a reclining tired paddler (great extension of the day, especially with one's favorite beverage in hand!). The only downside is the low height, but that could be remedied easily I'm sure, for example with some PVC pipe. Happy Trails! how about making a stand like the old TV dinner trays with nylon webbing connecting the top part. You could make it out of aluminum or pvc tubing or even wood. It would fold up flat be light etc. jim *************************************************************************** PaddleWise Paddling Mailing List Submissions: paddlewise_at_lists.intelenet.net Subscriptions: paddlewise-request_at_lists.intelenet.net Website: http://www.gasp-seakayak.net/paddlewise/ ***************************************************************************
