OK folks, now did I hear someone from texas boasting about some special ultimate race and making comments about Finlandia race? Check a Norwegian web site at http://www.nif.idrett.no/padling/sea.html. Cheers, Ari Saarto What is the worst nightmare of a kangaroo child: a pickpocket... Ari; I'm definitely not trying to start a war here, but this Artic Sea Kayak race doesn't even come close to the Texas Water Safari. Two immediate differences: 1) Artic race is 240 km-the Texas race is 260 MILES. 2) Artic Race is 5 days (with one day of rest)-Texas race is NON-STOP. Does anyone else know of a non-stop race longer than 260 miles? ------------------------------------------------------------------- Neil Harrison-Houston, Texas email: nil_at_nol.net (_at_ _at_) web: www.nol.net/~nil/ ----------------------------ooO~(_)~Ooo---------------------------- 100% recycled electrons *************************************************************************** PaddleWise Paddling Mailing List Submissions: paddlewise_at_lists.intelenet.net Subscriptions: paddlewise-request_at_lists.intelenet.net Website: http://www.gasp-seakayak.net/paddlewise/ ***************************************************************************
