OK folks, now did I hear someone from texas boasting about some
special ultimate race and making comments about Finlandia race?

Check a Norwegian web site at
http://www.nif.idrett.no/padling/sea.html.

Cheers,

Ari;

I'm definitely not trying to start a war here, but this Artic Sea Kayak
race doesn't even come close to the Texas Water Safari.

Two immediate differences:

1) Artic race is 240 km-the Texas race is 260 MILES.
2) Artic Race is 5 days (with one day of rest)-Texas race is NON-STOP.

Does anyone else know of a non-stop race longer than 260 miles?

There is a "little" race up in Canada that goes from Whitehorse to
Dawson. Thats 439 miles!

Not sure of the date off the top of my head, but I can get it if anyone
is interested.
