You could get color if you had a color copier. Not sure if your local
Kinko copier shop would have a color copier or not. If you had a good
color scanner and a color printer you could do the same.

I wondered about the durability myself. I imagine that it depends on
the type of ink that is put down. Probably some copiers/printers would
be better than others.

One problem I have with photocopying charts is that the ink tends to
stick to the inside of my Sealine map case, necessitating a laborious
cleanup after a trip. Since even a spray fixative doesn't seem to help,
I have taken to laminating my photocopied charts.

Now that my scanner is finally working, I am going to try scanning charts   
in my possession and printing them out on my laser printer. I suspect I
will have the same problem, but at least I won't have the problem of
Kinko's refusing to copy copyrighted charts.
