Philip -

I first purchsed a wetsuit and a year later, after I had concluded I enjoyed
cold water paddling, purchased a Kokatat drysuit. At the time of purchase, I
decided it was silly to make such an investment without a built-in method for
relief, so I ordered it with the relief zipper even though I am a woman.
Unfortunately, at the time I didn't realize that I could get the suit I wanted
with a drop-seat. Over the last couple of years, I have become about as adept
as one can be at using the man's relief zipper and woman's funnel system but
it is not easy, or comfortable, or clean, or . . . From my own personal
experience, I highly recommend woman opt for the drop seat. Since the
purchase of the drysuit, I have used my wetsuit only once, and that was when
my neck gasket was being replaced.
