We are going to Alaska at the end of June. For part of the time we were thinking about taking the ferry from Homer to Seldovia, traveling overland to Jakolof Bay (hitch hike?) and then launching our K-lights, paddling through the Eldred Passage on up to Halibut Cove. We would then complete the circuit by taking the ferry back to Homer. We're wondering if we should make this a 2 day thing or a 5 day thing. Does anyone have any information or observations about this area?
