[Paddlewise] Overcrowded in Alaska?

Megan and I are getting ready to head out on our Alaska vacation
Saturday. Someone told us the Kenai Peninsula is unbearably overcrowded
this time of year with salmon fisherpersons, and that the streets of
Homer are lined with RV's. Is there any truth to this rumor?

Also, does anyone know the possibilities for getting a bush plane flight
up some deserted river with folding kayaks on short notice?

BTW, we got the "Skin-so-soft" mosquito repellent, and we'll report
back. Also, if I figure out how to digitize the snap shots I'll put
vacation pictures on my Green-leaf web site when we get back. Maybe I'll
figure out what to do with the kayak survey by then, too (one
possibility would be to provide a hyperlink to the original survey email
from each respondent in the comments section).

Thanks in advance,

Keith Kaste
