We have time to make I'm tied up with other plans this weekend. I'd suggest Smokey Hollow if the group travels to Long Island. There are not enough campsites at Sandspit to handle more than 6 or 8 people. Smokey Hollow can handle up to 40, depending on how cozy people want to be, and is a lesser walk to the Grove of Ancient Cedars, a "must see" attraction. This is bug season on Long Island, so take the DEET. Tenasillahee tends to be a powerboater party place on the 4th, although this is highly variable. There is a lot of room on Tenasillahee. In any case, I will not be involved. But, everybody else ... go to it! -- Dave Kruger Astoria, OR *************************************************************************** PaddleWise Paddling Mailing List Submissions: paddlewise_at_lists.intelenet.net Subscriptions: paddlewise-request_at_lists.intelenet.net Website: http://www.gasp-seakayak.net/paddlewise/ ***************************************************************************Received on Mon Jun 29 1998 - 22:10:40 PDT
