Don't like to use DEET...
I use  oil of citronella, lavender or bergamot, mixed with baby oil or
grapeseed oil.

I buy the essential oils and mix itup when I want to apply, works great for
me here in BC Canada fprests and in S E asia.

Some folks are out there to be bug food, so stuff don't alwys help, I like
to think those folks are there to help those of us the bugs don't offend so
much
