OK, if you cant use a regular calendar and cant bear to shell out
$7.95 for Eldridges (which expires after one year) . . . I found a
shareware program on AOL a few years ago called "TIDE.EXE" which
calculates the time, heights, and velocities of tides and currents at
various places (including something called "Mare inebrium" which is
not on my maps) on any day well into the future. Oh, yeah, it has
moon phases marked on the calendar, too.

I dont know if the shareware version is still on AOL. I sprung for
the "full" version which includes a bunch more locations, and only
cost $20 or so.

It is a very basic DOS program that will run on the slowest and
oldest computers around. The author is Paul Gray, Box n147,
Westport, MA 02790 (508) 636-6883.

Happy moonlight paddling, and dont forget your strobe light.
