Hi,
I've heard about SSS as insect repellent before too. I read or heard
somewhere that it works (briefly) a "mechanical" barrier in that the
mossies find it difficult/unpleasant to drill through (maybe it "tastes"
bad to them?). So as soon as the surface layer of liquid on your skin is
gone, so is the effect. This is in contrast to DEET and other repellents,
where it's the odour that actually repels the bug(gers). I agree with
Sylvia that different peoples' body chemistry influences how the gentler,
organic repellents work. Much as I'd prefer to use citronella, etc., on me
it just seems to serve as lemon-flavoured salad dressing for the bugs.

I have started to use a new product from AMWAY
it is D-15 in a spray can.
I have as yet not read the ingredients as I have used a friend's can and will be ordering
one for myself.

I was working in a mosquito infested areas in a well hole, reparing a pump, so hands
were already busy. Did not recieve any bits.
