After overcoming some technical hurdles (mostly mental) I finally have
the sea kayak survey out on the net. It is located at:
        http://www.green-leaf.net/kayaksurvey.htm
Please let me know if any of you think this is useful information. If
so, we can easily modify the content to include more kayaks and more
data on the kayaks. I will leave this survey at the above URL for about
a week. If people seem to be interested in this information I will see
if Jackie will incorporate it into her web site. I would be willing to
maintain this particular web page and forward updates to Jackie for
uploading.

Also, I got a chance to try out the Sea Seat for myself on the SF Bay.
I think it works great. Getting into it after blowing it up means
springing out of the water on it until your pelvis is centered over the
center indentation. Then simply twist your body around so that you are
sitting in the middle. This is less difficult than a paddle float
rescue. It feels stable once you are sitting in it. I will want to
take it to the "soup zone" at Ocean Beach to really test its stability.
I tried paddling it with a paddle and with my hands. Both succeed in
making forward progress. The Sea Seat folds up small enough to fit into
a bail out pack or some PFD pockets. I am glad to have this in the
safety arsenal. As with all safety equipment I must practice with it in
the kinds of conditions that I might have to use it in.

Keith,
I really like your effort here! Thank you.

My wish list, considering that I not the one coding the HTML, is to
include length, width, and list general purpose of design (e.g. touring,
ocean play, surf, expedition, day trips, etc...). Also, I would love to
see an increase in the comment length. 45 chars does not really do any
boat justice. HTML tables can have a fixed width, but wrap text within a
cell to acommodate more text. I could provide a little expertise with HTML
if needed. Cheers,
Kevin

I think you've done a great job! I'd like to see a short review of each boat
by the owner....pros and cons for a balanced review mentioning the owners
height, weight and experience. This could make it an extremely valuable tool
for boat shopping!

I'll be glad to help with the HTML, if that's a problem!
