	Uniden and several others are waterproof without the plastic bag. The
Aquapac is serious waterproofing for electronics. But you need to check the
condition of seals, clamps, seams. 

	Though I've not tested this in our salt water laboratories. . . I would
imagine that having a pastic pouch with a large air pocket in it would tend
to blow out the seams if put under pressure like getting between the deck
and the paddler in an exit or entrance. 

	I agree that the place for a radion is on the paddler, not in the boat or
on the deck. Probably needed most when the paddler is separated from the
boat.
