It's the one big lake in Vancouver Washington. So has any body paddled there? Are there put-ins. Can I expect lots of drunken power boats and water rockets? I don't suppose we could be so lucky as to have the lake be motor free? What about water quality? George, Dave, Bradford, the guy from North Plains? Thanks, Brian Heifner Portland OR. *************************************************** >> Brian, Vancouver lake is a fairly decent paddle close to Ptown. There is a public acess on the NW edge of the lake <off 501 west> as well as a boat ramp on the Lake River _at_ Falida <122nd ave off Seaward rd.> No jet skis, lots of wildlife north <left> of the county park. I usually see a baldie or 2 as well as lots of other sea birds, otters, beaver, etc. My favorite though is Ridgefield and the Bachlor Island loop, just downstream a ways.
