Stolen last night in the Duluth-Superior Area of Western Lake Superior 1 Royal Blue Romany Explorer identifying features which could change rapidly: 1) no foot pegs, so no holes ever drilled in side of boat. 2) skeg 3)Dorky "ROMANY" block letters absent from side of boat, but the small "Romany Explorer sticker near the cockpit remains. 4) velcro strips epoxied to inside of coaming at thighs, left knee pad velcro'd to deck underside. (right one washed out with me in g-g-g-g-gnarly surf a couple weeks ago<G>) 5) small piece of red flannel tied to bow toggle This boat is a very distinctive dark blue color, I have never seen another Romany that color despite an abundance of Romanys in the area. I call it "Stealth Blue", it is anything BUT visible on the water. They also stole a crummy, lousy, twisted, warped, piece of crap Greenland paddle that I never even finished and use only as a backup, leaving my beautiful, freshly sanded and finished Sitka Spruce sitting right there. This boat could be heading to the paintshop or the Twin Cities or Madison, because nobody could paddle it here without being noticed. Book 'em, Danno.
