The best --- and only --- double roll I've ever seen attempted was at a Camp Arrowhead DELMARVA Paddlers' Retreat run, up until recently, by Charlie and Cindy Cole. Always a great weekend. Charlie and Cindy were on the program to demo a double roll in a pool for the particpants' enlightenment --- although we read that to be amusement. It was both, as it worked out. Charlie, a football coach and pretty clearly one-time player, who has taught hundreds of people to roll --- the writer included --- fell out of the double half way through, while Cindy --- all five-not-much- more feet of her --- in the front position, unaware of Charlie's departure, rolled the now-water-filled double back up by herself. The look on her face when she found Charlie missing was worth the price of the weekend. Yup, it can be done, but it's not likely to always be pretty!
