I traveled to Japan with a greenland stick, 2 HUGE bags, a day pack and a Backpacker guitar. It was a PITA <pain in the a$$> The subways and train systems in Japan are a challenge with *no* luggage! LOL. I made a great paddle container out of a PVC pipe with pipe fittings for end caps and a piece of webbing for the handle. It holds two paddles and is basically indestructible. I have traveled all over the place with it. I have never been charged extra and I have flown to Japan, North Carolina, Alaska, and California with it.
