Perhaps not as graphic as Richard Culpeper's "******* the paddle" (Actually, I think I'd say "******* the water" so as to keep the power in line. Actually, I do use the phrase "hip thrust" a lot.). Also, I spent a weekend recently with a paddler who persisted in pulling the paddle through the water. This doesn't accomplish much, of course, and I felt lucky to get him down the river. Does anyone besides me and RSK talk about the "Catch" phase of the paddle stroke?
