I am in the process of outfitting my new Nordkapp. I would like to avoid installing the foot pegs and use foam on the forward bulkhead instead. I have not found a good solution, partially because the bulkhead is cup shaped, to avoid stressing the deck. I am also debating cutting out the seat and glassing in a piece of 2" webbing with a ss triangle as an attachment point for the backband. Has anyone done this? I'm trying to avoid holes through the hull and distributing the stress over as wide an area as possible. An experiment attaching fittings with hot glue was a dismal failure..might have worked in winter heh heh. BTW, the new Nordkapp Jubilee is a vast improvement over the older model in all respects except weight...48 vs. 41 lbs. Valley has finally gone to a P&H style skeg and the Jubilee is very stable with noticeably more buoyancy in the bow. I haven't had the opportunity to take the boat out in any rough conditions yet so I don't know how the extra stability will degrade the rough water handling characteristics yet. Does anyone else on the list have a Jubilee?
