Well,
I have seen an interesting trend in the past 3 weeks on the PW list. Seems
like governmental extremeisem (and bad spelling) are the side-bars for our
conversations. It's interesting that it probably is the overflow that John Q
Public derives his stereotypical perceptions from.
HERE'S A NEW PADDLE GAME.......FROM THE GAMES THREAD. You list the special
interest group and we get to give you the stereotypical, J.Q. Public
perception of who/what they stand for.

I'll start with a few samples
Jetskiers.........alcohol crazed, pre-adolescent speed freaks with zits, hell
bent on bothering paddlers.

NRA Members.......alcohol crazed, gun toting (full automatic with 17 round
clip), rednecks with confederate flags in the back windows of their pickup
trucks.

Motorcycalists.....alcohol and drug crazed, post adolescent speed freaks with
tatoos

Politicians.... sex crazed special interest fund raisers

Sports car drivers.......post adolescent speed freaks who couldn't make it as
bikers for various social reasons. Also involves mid-life crisis.

Tribal eskimos.....kayakers that kill whales

Kayakers......Shall we say, self involved, tree hugging, government building,
isolationists who want everyone to think like them and see everything their
way??? Please add/correct if this is in error.

OTHERS?

attached mail follows:

I agree, I was under the impression that Wavelength was to remain the list
where open discussion of all things environmental was to happen. Perhaps
you could move this thread over to wavelength_at_lists.intelenet.net

please
