...where you been paddling?... Sorry to say I have not paddled in a while now, being so busy at work...BUT... I been taking bits of time off work to build a stitch and glue Guillemot single [downloaded from Nick's website], it's coming along just fine, I get to take the upper and lower half apart today and start on glassing the inside. It's looking great...At 22" across, it's gonna be a great change from the double Klepper I been paddling for the last few years...So I guess I get to learn to roll up I think I'll take it on my Kaslo BC jazz fest 10 day paddle on Kootenay lake. I leave here on july 24, going the reverse way on Kootenay lake, from Grey creek...Last year I went north and around, this year south and around,This year I get to complete my circomnavigation of the lake [150 kms long] Now I am trying to figure out what color to paint the new yak, But the Vietnamese "eyes", at the bow to watch for the sea monsters, are going on... If I really like it, instead of the klepper, next year I'll take the plans for a S & G and build it in Vietnam and the Phillipines. At $7.00CDN per sheet of mohagany, it could be a great alternative to kayaking the tropics, reducing the luggage monster... Is the wheather this weird all over...April and may were so hot, we got a great start in the gardens...june been mostly raining with sun here and there...July is atrating out great, but cool for here and this morning, the rain is back, almost feels like Nha Trang Vn in january... Have fun, Yours naturally sylvio lamarche Wycliffe organic gardens & Exotic locales all over the globe *************************************************************************** PaddleWise Paddling Mailing List Submissions: paddlewise_at_lists.intelenet.net Subscriptions: paddlewise-request_at_lists.intelenet.net Website: http://www.gasp-seakayak.net/paddlewise/ ***************************************************************************
