I've got a carbon Futura Carerra, I think it's now called the Blade.
My hull has pinhole leaks where the resin didn't completely fill the
fabric weave. I've been told this is not uncommon and the local rep
discourages people from ordering the carbon fiber over a 'glass layup for
this reason.

I'm underwhelmed by the rudder, it's just a slab of aluminum hanging
off the back, it does help some with stability though ;-)

The surf ski is my current favorite of my current "fleet". It's
wonderfully fast. I haven't got the hang of turning it around in breaking
waves or riding head high or better waves. After I bury 7 feet of bow
in a wave it gets a little tough to control....

I also lucked out and got a phenomenal deal on the boat - $500.

I tried a Heritage (formerly hop on top) sit on top last summer and really
liked the thigh straps and wish that I had them on my boat.
