I always consitered The Broach half the fun of surfing a Sea Kayak. I have a
mariner MAX I take into the surf all the time. Its the best way to build Sea
kayaking skill . Ride the Green, aviod the break. hold on though the broach.
The surf is less crowd up here in Washington state and surfers stay out of
your way when your in a 17 foot kayak. The Coaster is the best SK for surfing
but its easier to bury its bow and flip then with the MAX.
