What do you mean by "_the_ native design" emphasis on "the"? Is there only
one native design?

No, it is nit picking for the sake of nit picking.

When one talks about an item, writes about that item, gives detailed
instructions on how to make that item, and draws pictures of that item, all
on paddlewise, how can one then ask 'What do you mean by "_the_ native
design" emphasis on "the"?'. I whole heatedly endorse intellectual inquiry
and agree that the validity of ones abstraction is open to different
interpretations. But the question was "what do YOU MEAN" Nowhere in Chucks'
writing did I read anything that came close to saying or implying that this
was the only native design.

One grace we have over the computer is intuitiveness. In this case we
didn't need it, all was there if we bothered to read it.
