[Paddlewise] Painting pictures on the bottom of kayaks

Hello fellow paddlers,

I seem to recall someone mentioned there was a group of hunters that 
painted eyes or images on the bottom of their kayaks.  Does anyone recall
that information or know where I can look for more information about
that?
