[Paddlewise] Desolation Sound - put in's, places to leave the car, etc.

I am planning on doing a 5-8 day kayak trip in the Desolation Sound area in
British Columbia in early September (Although I am still toying with the
idea of going all the way up to Johnstone Strait instead - just not very
excited about the 12+ hours of driving to get there from Seattle).

My questions are as follow:

Question #1 - Recommended put ins - especially places where people don't get
annoyed with kayakers using a launch but not buying the amount of fuel that
a typical power boat launcher would. I would prefer if they are near one of
the sea plane landing areas as we may have a person from our group flying up
after work to save vacation time.

Question #2 - Good places to leave a vehicle

Any other information.

My general plan so far is:

Desolation Sound - about 250 miles + 2 ferries (about 8-10 hours) drive up
with the boats from Seattle. We plan on having anyone that is flying up from
Seattle get there in the early evening so that we can put in the water on
the 4th and head home on the 12th. We plan on paddling about 10-16 miles per
day and with only two definite committed and one maybe paddler have room for
two more for the trip - E-mail me if you're interested.

Thanks - Saul
