Come on folks lighten up. Yes, the laws of physics apply to all gases in this universe. IMNSHO, Bruce did provide good advise and direction to Chris's question. Here is an, off topic, plausable explaination for the reason nitrogen is used for the dry gas in indy tires and in purging electronics. Its cheap and readily available at high pressure. I have a friend who sells compressed gasses. He buys nitrogen for home use to inflate tires because its less expensive than buying an air compressor. I suspect the Indy drivers are getting faster inflation times with high pressure nitrogen than they would get with air compressors and moisture in the tires might be a problem for them as well. *************************************************************************** PaddleWise Paddling Mailing List Submissions: paddlewise_at_lists.intelenet.net Subscriptions: paddlewise-request_at_lists.intelenet.net Website: http://www.gasp-seakayak.net/paddlewise/ ***************************************************************************Received on Fri Aug 28 1998 - 07:08:11 PDT
