Both valves are coming un-attached and are leaking. I figured I'd try
some repairs before just getting a new paddlefloat. >>

If I did try reattaching valves --- which I wouldn't --- I'd make sure I used
<and marked> that paddlefloat as a practice float only, Joy. I have one float
that I use for practice and demos that has a couple of repaired air leaks ---
just pinhole sized --- and that's marked with big "demo only" letters so it
never goes out for real. (The float should have come with a small repair kit,
but it's for small holes only.)

You bring up a good point that bears repetition, Joy. If you have an
inflatable paddlefloat that you use for self rescue or that you would have
available for others to use, check it frequenly for air leaks. These things
don't last forever, and you're much better off knowing that replacement is
necessary than waiting to mid-Bay to find out!

Better yet, look into making a foam float. No leaks, just a little more room
needed.

Jack

I'd try aquaseal or the glue you use to fix bicycle innertubes.
