Especially from people in a country that didn't have any problem killing
uncounted THOUSANDS of people (Iraquis) in the name on keeping a supply
of cheap oil.

Everybody has to eat, therefore everybody has to kill.
Even plants are alive, so even vegitarians kill to eat.

Next time you have a bite to eat, you might ask yourself,
"Who is this?"

I love this one!

But...

There has been a bit of wisdom and a lot of silly rubbish on both sides
of this debate, and none of it has anything to do with kayaking -- can we
PLEASE get past it? Drop it? Start another list to continue it? Whatever,
just please let's not keep it going in this list. Please!

I am not a vegetatrian, but operate a small organic farm...

I really don't agrre that harvesting a plant which I have grown is
definitly not killing...

Proper harvesting of produce is done whent eh fruit of the plant is ripe,
from this moment on it is degrading in plant value...Most plants actually
start the dying process by setting fruit /seed /flower.

In the case of my beautiful flowers, it is detrimental to them not to
harvest the flowers stalks...Same with fruit trees, same with most greens [
cauliflower is a good one, tomatoes, chillies..

So proper harvesting of the produce plants is but beneficial to the plants
themselves and/or succession of the species....

Not at all like harvesting wild game [which this area is so into ] as I see
fewer and fewer game around while out in the forest....
My garden on the other hand is getting fuller and fuller, due to optimum
growth and conditions [one of which is proper harvesting of ripe produce to
let the plant carry on with growth and reproduction...]

have fun out there
