The newest VCP boats have a P&H style skeg mechanism --- far superior to the old one. Has a positive sliding mechanism which gives you a pretty good idea of where it's set, too. Great improvement. Saw it on the new boats demoed at the Great Lakes symposium --- a Nordkapp Jubilee and a Pintail.
