Campsites on all these islands were quite attractive. Availability of water will probably depend on the weather, since the islands are such small catchments-- in other words, if it rains you're in luck. In early June, there was a clear trickle on Willis, and yellowish trickles on Benson and Clarke. The yellowish stuff is, at least in part, suspended organic matter, and quickly clogged a purifying filter I had brought along. Someone suggested prefiltering with a coffee filter, to reduce clogging of the purifier. I didn't do this, but I think it is a good idea. I finally and somewhat reluctantly accepted an offer of (nice, clear) water from a well-supplied (and motorized) party. So it is probably best to bring your own, if space permits (my boat was too small, alas). I was able to pull in the forecasts with an inexpensive weather radio, although the VHF gave better reception. Have a nice paddle. Cheers, AMG Arthur M.
