Larry and Jack and everyone else, I have a standard Boatowners Policy with Allstate. $2000 on the boat, which is what I paid for it new, $200 on equipment which I should increase, and $100 deductible. I also carry liability and medical in the unlikely event that the yak goes flying off the roof of my car into some unsuspecting motorist. Maybe I don't need this part, but it made me feel safer when hauling it on a 2000 mile road trip this summer. Particularly while attempting to negotiate the very scary New Jersey Turnpike! Anyone out there know of any flying kayak incidents?
