[Paddlewise] Save me from the Aquaterra Prism

I like kayaking, but I *really* like saltwater fishing from kayaks in
coastal situations: harbors or surf launches from beaches. I have been
using an Ocean Kayak Malibu Two - admittedly one of the slowest boats
around, but very stable and surprisingly good in surf. I'm thinking
about getting a faster boat. The Ocean Kayak Scupper Pro is a revered,
reliable yak here in southern California. However, I looked at an
Aquaterra Prism today (the Back Country edition, with all the cool
fishing stuff) and I liked it better in the following ways:

1. Somewhat cleaner lines. I'm told that it's a little faster than a
Scupper. I paddled a Prism last spring and I think that's true.

2. REALLY big fore and aft hatches - would put any closed-deck kayak to
shame. You can get your hibachi and your VCR through these hatches. I'm
not sure what I would put in there, but I'll think of something.

So, anyway, I'm inviting someone to suggest boats that may compete with
the Prism. Keep in mind that I fish and consequently do a number of
screwy fishing moves, and I am in the surf fairly often. That's why I'm
thinking of sit-on-tops instead of closed-deck, even though I can't hope
to equal closed-deck speed.

Regards,
Mark Hunter
