Kia Ora ,
Some years ago I moored a sailboat (28 ft) about 300 meter of shore and paddled an inflatable dingy (Not a toy) with a crew member to shore. We had not travelled very far when we noticed that we were loosing air,and paddled as fast as posssible .By the time we reached the shore ,the dingy had submerged. The cause of  the leak ?  One single...... fishbone ........had pentrated through the rubber.
I still use an inflatable dingy but it has three seperate compartments.
My PFD is solid...After all it can be my last hope.
