[Paddlewise] San Francisco Area

           
I am new to the San Francisco Area, as well as to Kayaking.  I am 
hoping some of you seasoned Bay Area Kayakers could fill me in on:
1) some places to put my tandem in (I live in Redwood City)
2) when are the best times to Kayak in the Bay Area? I have been told 
that it's best in September/October - is this right?
3) Are there any local clubs that I can join?
4) Where should I NOT go.
